Services
The residential plumbing system in a home is composed of two separate subsystems.
One system brings domestic/fresh water in, and the other takes the sanitary wastewater out of the home.
The sanitary wastewater system or drain-waste-vent (DWV) is made of two parts, one is of the drain waste and the other is the vent.
The drain waste removes sewage and greywater from the home and the vent regulates air pressure, facilitating flow.
Pro Craft Plumbing recommends that only a trained certified licensed plumber should install, repair or alter these plumbing systems in the home, it is also required by Florida Building Code.
There is a difference between commercial plumbing systems versus other plumbing systems such as residential, industrial and institutional.
The plumbing systems are designed to meet the demands made on that system.
These systems require different types of fixtures, faucets, water, sanitary, gas, and drainage piping materials to meet state codes.
Fixtures and faucets are conformed to meet American Disability Act Standards for commercial versus residential.
An example is a residential home kitchen versus a commercial restaurant kitchen.
The average household's leaks can account for 10,000 gallons of wasted water every year.
It's the amount of water needed to wash 270 loads of laundry.
A leaky faucet that drips at the rate of one drip per second can waste more than 3,000 gallons per year.
That's the amount of water needed to take more than 180 showers!
A showerhead leaking at 10 drips per minute wastes more than 500 gallons per year.
That's the amount of water it takes to wash 60 loads of dishes in your dishwasher.
Toilets, by far, are the main source of water use in the home, accounting for nearly 30% of a home's indoor water consumption.
