Our great union has been here in Columbus, Ohio for over 100 years. Local Union 189 is a proud organization whose purpose is to serve those who toil in the plumbing and mechanical piping industry. We take great pride in our Apprentice and Journeyman training to provide the best craftsmanship money can buy. Along with our MCACO Mechanical Contractors we have forged a partnership to build a strong and viable Plumbing and Piping Industry in Central Ohio.
Just because they are retired doesn't mean that our retiree's have forgotten what it's like to get involved and be heard. Some of our people are involved with retiree's groups at the local, state, and national levels. Our Local 189 retiree's meet once a month in the meeting hall on the 4th Wednesday of each. Listen for the words:"Plumbers and Pipefitters JATC" In the event bad weather causes a cancellation of normal school hours, we will call the following radio stations as soon as such a decision is reached.

Applications will be available to pick up in person with a photo ID on the 1st Tuesday of every month between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
If for some reason these dates do not work out due to circumstances beyond the school's control (i.e.: death, power outage, inclement weather, etc.), a new date will be posted and added to the calendar of application dates.
All applicants must appear at the training school, 1226 Kinnear Road, Columbus, Ohio with a photo ID to pick up an application.
