Kelly is a Veteran who began his career serving his country as a SeaBee in the United States Navy.
He graduated number one in his class in 1994 with the rank of E5 and worked as a plumber and HVAC technician in Adak Alaska and Guam.
He transitioned to life as a civilian plumber in 1998 and relocated to work in Lake and Mendocino Counties in 2000.
