It was very old.
Knowing this- he arrived prepared with a new one just in case the old one was unsalvageable so that our routine was not interrupted.
In a timely manner Ricardo left our kitchen clean and ready for use.

It was terrible timing too it was mid October, fast forward to November when we where at the finial stages of putting our kitchen back together and the first guy we hired to put the sink back together after getting new countertops bailed on us with a hefty deposit.

Knowing this- he arrived prepared with a new one just in case the old one was unsalvageable so that our routine was not interrupted.

Grab your trusty plunger and make sure the suction cup makes a complete seal around the drainage hole (the bit everything gets flushed down into.)
Now, vigorously pump the plunger up and down without breaking this seal until the clog is pushed down or pulled up!.

A "closet auger" is a long rod with a handle on the top end and a bulb-head snake on the bottom.
