I want to welcome and say thank you to everyone that visits Miami-Dade County Plumbing Contractors Association's website. As the current President of the Plumbing Contractors Association, I want to assure all of the members and anyone considering membership that the leadership works diligently to make your participation count in a meaningful way.

From my experience, Southwest Plumbing Services has been a Contractor Member for 25 years and we feel that if you take the time to participate, the benefits are well worth the minimal costs of membership.The Plumbing Contractors Association is a Not-for-Profit organization that survives solely on the dues and participation of its members. We are actively seeking new Contractor members as well as Associate members from related businesses of all kinds that will benefit from networking within our organization.

Please help our industry by participating actively. Our mission is to promote causes and policies to improve the local plumbing industry and help our members to successfully conduct business.

The Plumbing Contractors Association was founded in 1952.
Our first President was Alexander Orr III, Vice- President was H.L. Robertson and Secretary was W.L. Pennell.

Tom Watson is currently the President and owner/partner of Southwest Plumbing.
Southwest Plumbing employees over 50 employees and provides a full range of work varying from residential to commercial.
They currently provide service for Miami-Dade, Broward and the Palm Beach counties.
Tom's experience began in 1976 when he entered the plumbing and gas field.
In 1978, he became a licensed plumber for Miami-Dade and Broward County.
In 1986, he obtained his Plumbing Contractors License from the State of Florida and has been licensed ever since.

For many contractors, the Plumbing Contractors Association membership means they have a powerful voice for change at the State, Federal and Local levels.

The Plumbing Contractors Association Apprenticeship Program is a 4-year Apprenticeship Program.
Our program is registered with the Florida Department of Education.
The program consist of 8,000 hour, approximately 48 months, of continuous on the job employment and a minimum of 144 hours each year of supplemental instruction in technical subjects related to plumbing.
Upon satisfactory completion of the program, the Apprentice will receive a Certificate of Completion of Apprenticeship.
You must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in order to comprehend instructions on the job and in related training classes, and to ensure personal and co-worker safety on the job.
